Mindfully made
We make in small batches under the careful eye of master craftsmen and the precision of industrial processes. Many of our products are naturally one of a kind because some of our processes only allow one chance at an imprint. At the core of our design process, and consequently, the products we make, is a deeply humanist approach.
Stimulating craft
We work with skilled artisans who are masters of their craft, yet willing to explore making for a contemporary context. Building on their traditional practice, we awaken them to fresh challenges, spurring new thoughts in skills and processes inherited across generations.
Material matters
We do our best to retain the innate nature of materials — in surface, texture, look, and feel. Wood is wood, cotton is cotton. We keep things authentic with natural finishes like wood oils and vegetable/plant dyes. Our handwoven fabrics are either hand-spun or machine-spun, using organic yarn where possible. We avoid plastic and use it judiciously when absolutely essential.
